What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is a natural system of medicine which is the oldest healing science. It stems from the ancient Vedic culture and was originated in India for more than 5000 years ago. It is based on the notion that good health depends on the balance between mind, body, and spirit. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda means “The Science of Life.”

 

Are Forest Essentials products natural & organic?

At Forest Essentials we source our ingredients with great care. From our organically grown Cold Pressed Oils, to our raw and unprocessed Cane Sugar to our steam distilled pure Essential Oils. Everything is made in the traditionally old-fashioned way, according to Ayurvedic tenets, and wherever possible, by hand. We have the highest quality control standards in our factories, certified by GMP standards. Our products are infused with natural and the most authentic ingredients, sourced or extracted in their purest, pristine form and at hours of the day when they are known to be the most potent, to ensure their efficacy is not lost during the long and tedious making processes of our Ayurvedic products. This way, the herbs lend their benefits in the purest form, giving our products a delightful texture and creating a wonderful sensorial experience.

 

I’ve had a reaction after using one of your products. What should I do?

Using organic ingredients, sometimes, does not eliminate the possibility of a skin reaction. If immediate medical attention is needed, please contact your health care practitioner.

What are hair oils? And what do they do?

Hair oils protects the hair from regular wear and tear. Different kinds of oils have different vitamins and with direct application they help strengthening the fair follicles and thereby reducing hair fall. They also help maintain the shine and gloss of hair.

I am new to the brand, what can I start with?

We have different categories of products from which you can choose from as per your skin type or concerns. However, as a beginner you can start with our Light day lotions and Rose water toner.

What is the quantity of the product one should use?

All our products are made from highly potent natural ingredients. You can just use a pea size or one pump for all our products across categories.

 

Why do your cleansers/ shampoos not lather?

The Forest Essentials products are made with naturally derived foaming agents like Reetha (Soap nut) and Coco Glucoside (Derived from coconut), etc and are free from sulphates.

 

Where are your products made?

The Forest Essentials products are made in factories located in Haridwar and Lodsi in Tehri Garhwal district, Uttarakhand, India.

 

How should I store my products?

We recommend you keep your products in a cool place away from direct light.
